The Flagpole Photographers 6th Annual “Newtown and Beyond” Photography Exhibit Opening Reception was held on Sunday, November 8th, at the Newtown Municipal Center. The exhibit features 219 photos by 17 photographers who are members of the local camera club and runs through November 25. Over 75 people gathered to enjoy a wonderful array of appetizers and desserts while viewing the photos at the reception. Attendees were also treated to the outstanding musical talents of John Voket during the opening event.
Thanks to a recent grant from the Newtown Cultural Arts Commission, the club was able to acquire additional exhibit display materials to make this their largest exhibit yet. The club used a portion of the grant funds to purchase additional display molding strips which they donated to the Town of Newtown for permanent installation at the Municipal Center. This molding allows for both sides of the hallway to be used by all exhibitors with displays at the Center.

The “Newtown and Beyond” exhibit will be on display through November 25 and may be viewed during regular Municipal Center hours of Monday – Friday, 8:00 – 4:30.
